Congratulations to Isagenix Millionaires No. 173, Laura and John S.!
“Becoming an Isagenix Millionaire in less than two years was one of my biggest goals,” shares Laura. “I feel so honored. I’m still shaking!” This remarkable feat wasn’t accomplished overnight, but Laura and John are truly an example of the importance in staying anchored to your dreams. “The power in setting goals and having intentions is the confidence created within you when you realize you can do anything you set your mind to,” she says.
Going All In
In March of 2014, after watching their good friends Kelley and Tyler succeed in their business, Laura decided it was time to embark on their own Isagenix journey.
“I had just turned 30 after having three children in three years and was feeling terrible on a gluten-free diet,” says Laura.
On top of that, she and John, an active-duty Marine, were struggling to get ahead of their debt.
Looking for better physical and financial health, Laura was ready to explore the Isagenix business opportunity. John was away in the field for a couple weeks of training when Laura first got started, so when she explained what she was doing, John told her, “The one thing is, if you’re going to do this, you’re going to be all in.”
He, too, had seen Kelley and Tyler’s success and understood the potential.
Knowing that there was something to this business, but still feeling skeptical, Laura and John started using the products. She lost 12 pounds and 3 dress sizes,* and he ran the fastest he had in years in his physical fitness test for the Marine Corps.
“It was really eye-opening,” Laura recalls, “I was able to experience some of the weight loss, and he was able to experience the performance.”
Faith in the Timing
Shortly thereafter, John was deployed to the Middle East for seven months. Even with knowing that her husband would be leaving for several months, Laura was determined to move forward with pursuing the business.
“I knew that this would be the one thing that could get me through the deployment, and help me focus on something other than the fact that I was missing John,” says Laura.
So the busy mom of three took on her Isagenix business full time while John was using the products to stay in good physical condition overseas. He had no idea how hard Laura was working or how many others she was sharing those same products with at home. By the time he returned, Laura was able to pay off all of their debt and quadruple John’s income.**
“It was unbelievable,” John remembers.
Later that year, Laura and John were able to go on President’s Quest with the Coovers, for which they feel so blessed. “We’d always wanted to travel but could never afford it,” says Laura. “That was our first vacation together.”
Growing the Business Together
Since John’s return, the couple has been working together every day to continue growing their business as a family.
“We’ve really linked arms. It’s been amazing to see how much our business has grown since he jumped in with me,” says Laura.
John will be retiring from the military early this spring and joining Laura full time, which is a dream come true. Together, they will represent our 18-35 age group as START Ambassadors, for which they are so thankful to Erik Coover, Isagenix Senior Vice President of Global Field Development and START Founder.
They are both extremely grateful for the support they’ve received from their family members, who are all using the products, and for their team, Team Anchored.
“I know every leader probably feels that they have one of the best teams, but we really do,” says Laura.
Looking forward, Laura and John’s biggest goal is being duplicable and creating new Isagenix Millionaires within their team. “I’m praying that there are people out there who will see this announcement and that it will bring them out, because that’s what watching Kelley become an Isagenix Millionaire did for me,” Laura explains.
Laura and John are also thankful for the ability to share this journey with their kids.
“Setting goals with them has made such a difference, because they’re more understanding when you have to travel or are on a phone call,” says Laura. “It’s so important to set goals.”
Laura and John still find it challenging each day to be the parents of three small kids while building this business and leading an amazing team, but they agree that it’s “an awesome problem” to have.
