From Despair to Destiny: 400-Pound Club Member Loses Weight & Gains Health


Before she had a life-changing experience, Kenya’s life looked drastically different than it does now. Weighing almost 600 pounds, she spent her days lying down and was unable to work.

“I spent 24 hours a day laying on my back,” she says. “I had no social life.”

The excess weight gain coupled with emotional trauma from her past brought Kenya to an extremely depressed state. She felt trapped inside her body. All she did was eat.

Reaching a Breaking Point

Kenya was ready to give up when her friend Trisha, a member of her church and an Isagenix Associate, reached out to her and introduced her to Isagenix. However, just a few weeks after Isagenix came into her life, Kenya’s health took a near-fatal nosedive.

In May of 2014, Kenya experienced a death scare. Although she got through it, her doctors didn’t have much hope for her future. Trisha began to give Kenya IsaLean® Shakes – three a day, along with fluids – and although her weight started to decrease, Kenya still felt the weight of past pain and trauma bearing down on her.  At this point, Kenya had nothing. She was confined to a hospice facility and did not kenya and trishahave a job or a home, yet Trisha continued to stay at her bedside until Kenya began to look and feel healthier. Her mental state improved, and she was able to work through the painful emotional issues that had been haunting her for years.

“When Trisha introduced me to Isagenix, it wasn’t just about the fact that I was overweight,” Kenya explains. “It was about the fact that I had literally lost everything.”

A Miraculous Journey

Today, Kenya’s future is bright. With the help of Isagenix, her friends, and a lot of hard work and sacrifice, she has released over 400 pounds* and has gained a new outlook on life.

Kenya wedding dress“Because of where I had been emotionally, I couldn’t fully expect to celebrate my past weight loss,” Kenya says. “But when I hit 400 pounds lost, I knew I had done something amazing for my body.”

Kenya maintains her healthy lifestyle by waking up at 4:30 every morning for a cardio workout, and after returning home, she begins working on her Isagenix business. Three days a week, she works with a personal trainer and has an IsaLean Shake every day. She also incorporates the AMPED™ products into her workouts, because she believes the products have helped her break through plateaus and reach a level she wasn’t capable of before.

Kenya is focusing on growing her Isagenix business, and over the next six to 12 months, she will be working on building her brand and hopes to share her story with others who are suffering from financial and emotional stress.

Becoming an Inspiration

Recently, Kenya launched Project 1,000, a tool she created to inspire and change 1,000 Kenyalives within 90 days. She will be touring the country sharing her story and hopes to one day become an internationally renowned speaker. She is determined to increase people’s knowledge about Isagenix and hopes to share the importance of Isagenix and the Isagenix lifestyle with people in her community, emphasizing that it’s a solution that can help everyone, no matter where they are in life.

“I want to breathe life and inspiration back into other people,” she says. “I want to make an impact.”
