When Eric finished his last collegiate swim race after a decade of competitive swimming, he had no idea how different life without swimming would be. In four months’ time, he gained 25 pounds and felt lost without the competition and camaraderie he’d had with his teammates. He knew it was time to start building a whole new life.

His confidence was at an all-time low, and he started to question where he fit into society. Then he was introduced to Isagenix and the IsaBody Challenge®, and once again, his life took a turn he wasn’t expecting.

Eric started the IsaBody Challenge with a goal to lose 32 pounds. That goal grew to becoming an honorable mention and later a finalist, but being named the IsaBody Challenge Runner-Up was something he never imagined possible.

Building a Whole New Life Begins with Challenging Yourself

“If I hadn’t signed up for this Challenge, I would still be over 200 pounds, wouldn’t have any confidence, and wouldn’t know where I fit in,” said Eric. “This has not only given me what I needed to stay accountable but also my health and my body back and a new family of accepting, loyal, and supportive people.*

“I’m truly humbled to be honored like this. The support and encouragement I’ve received throughout this journey have been the best part, and I feel like I made everyone proud.”

He certainly did. We couldn’t be prouder!

Get to Know Eric

We recently caught up with Eric, and here’s what he had to say as our runner-up:

Isagenix: What’s your best advice for someone who is doing the IsaBody Challenge for the first time and likes the idea of building a whole new life?

Eric: Have fun with it! I think everyone signs up for this Challenge to keep themselves more accountable. Accountability is great, but you have to let yourself live a little bit, too! The goal is to do many Challenges, not just one, and to do that, the system needs to be attainable. So, yes, stay consistent with the system, but don’t forget to enjoy it and be flexible. If you’ve been eyeing that cookie, treat yourself (at least every once in a while)!

I: What morning routine do you follow to get yourself ready for success in the day ahead?

E: I’m in the morning workout crew! People always ask me how I’m able to get myself up at 5:30 a.m. every day, but it’s such a habit for me now. I can’t imagine starting the day any other way at this point.

I wake up at 5:30 and spend the first 10 to 15 minutes I’m up working on material from a personal growth program I’m doing with my team that focuses on developing your mindset and reaching your vision. This gets me prepped for productivity. Then I drink my Ionix® Supreme and IsaLean® Shake and head to the gym.

I: What’s your best tip for making living a healthy lifestyle easier?

E: Surround yourself with others who are living the healthy lifestyle you strive to live. Like Jim Rohn said, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” I don’t think we realize how much of an impact our close relationships have on our personalities and habits. If you want to live a healthier lifestyle, the best way to sustain that lifestyle is to surround yourself with other healthy individuals.

I: Are you currently building a business with Isagenix?

E: Yes, I am! I’ve always been a big dreamer. So, a personal goal of mine for 2019 is to build a very strong team in the Asian market and in Taiwan specifically. I’m also striving to become a member of START 1000. That is, the first 1,000 members of START to earn six figures with Isagenix. My good college buddy, business partner, and mentor, Tyler Walter, recently became a member of START 1000, so he’s been an incredible example of how to achieve that goal. The IsaBody Challenge has provided me with an invaluable platform to help me reach these big goals and dreams!

I: What are your top three must-dos each day to keep yourself on the path to success?

E: Every day, I do some form of self-development (growth programs, reading a book, reflecting, etc.). I also work out (I’ll stretch on rest days), and talk to at least one new person.

I: What’s one thing few people know about you?

E: I’m a Guinness World Records record-holder! Last year, my friend Travis and I went to the Guinness World Records Museum. At the end, there were five different world records set up that guests could try their hand at. After four hours of practice (yes, you read that right…FOUR HOURS), we beat the world record. What world record? The greatest number of ping pong balls caught in a ladle in 60 seconds. Travis bounced the ping pong balls across the table to me, and I caught them with the ladle. The old record was 57 ping pong balls. We CRUSHED that record with 66!
