At 48 years old, Colleen was not who she wanted to be. Overweight, unhealthy, and living in fear of aging, she began to feel like a failure. As a public speaker and teacher, she encouraged others to live healthy, but she wasn’t taking her own advice. She made the mistake of trying to deal with these issues through food, but eventually realized she needed to step back and take a good hard look at herself.

That was over three years ago. She has now completed 10 IsaBody Challenges and has earned the title of 2017 IsaBody Honorable Mention and 2018 IsaBody™ Finalist!

When she first discovered Isagenix and the no-compromise products, she jumped in 100 percent. The former athlete knew what she had to do to transform but didn’t want to fall back into old habits and lose motivation. After joining the IsaBody Challenge®, Colleen told herself this time would be different. And she was right!

Every Challenge was different, and she has learned a great deal each time.

“In the first IsaBody Challenge, I was so focused on my physical transformation that I didn’t even realize the impact the Challenge was having on my mindset and mental outlook,” she explained. “I learned so much about my body in the beginning challenges and realized what I was capable of physically.”

Commitment, strength, and perseverance helped her get to the finish line of every 16-week Challenge.

“I began to realize that this wasn’t just about me but it was about helping others achieve their ultimate goals as well,” she shared.

Today, she has fulfilled a dream of becoming an IsaBody Finalist.

“My life has absolutely changed with these challenges and the amazing culture and products Isagenix has developed. I have found my inner strength as an athlete, and I have made goals that I thought I would never be capable of achieving,” she said.

Her healthy lifestyle hack:

Be prepared when you’re traveling! Have your IsaBlender® or a small USB blender for your car on hand whenever possible so you can make a shake when hunger strikes.

“It stops you from just grabbing fast foods or things from a store that might not be such a healthy option,” Colleen said.

Also, keep a snack or IsaDelight® available at all times for a quick way to satisfy cravings.

How she stays on track when the going gets tough:

Have a support system.

“My incredible wife (Katrina Simons, fellow 2017 IsaBody Challenge Honorable Mention) has always kept me on track,” Colleen said. “She always supports me and drives me forward and doesn’t let me get into a negative mind space very often. Having the support of your spouse is one of the most important things I have found to be successful in my journey and our journey together.”

Tips for first-time IsaBody Challengers:

  • Follow the system as it was designed.
  • Read up on the science behind cleansing and the products. Develop a better understanding of how the products work.
  • Reach out for support, and join the IsaBody Facebook group.
  • Focus on the things you can change, not the things you can’t!

Her week of workouts:

As a triathlete and aspiring Ironman competitor, Colleen’s workouts are intense.

“I need to make sure that I train all three sports at least twice – if not three times – a week and strength train as well,” she said. “I train six days per week with a workout in the morning and one in the afternoon. I always have one rest day per week.”

She is also sure to:

  • Swim at least 3 times a week, usually about 1-2 miles each session.
  • Bike at least 3 times a week with at least 1 brick session. (A brick session consists of biking 60-90 minutes immediately followed by a mile run.)
  • Run 3 times a week with a long run on Sunday, usually consisting of about 8.5-11 miles.

Kitchen staples to stay on track:

Colleen always has eggs, egg whites, and turkey bacon in her fridge to munch on as a snack or meal option.

“I also love Isagenix Greens™,” she said.
