It’s easy to get comfortable in your routine, settle for predictability, and stick to what you like (and avoid what you don’t). You feel like you know what you can handle each day and stop striving for anything more. But when’s the last time you truly challenged yourself or asked the question, “What if I can do more?”

This summer, I challenge you to do just that. See what you can achieve when you set your mind to it.

No matter what your goals are, I promise that when you push yourself beyond your comfort zone, you’ll go to bed feeling better than you did the day before. Don’t believe me? Here are three reasons why adding a little challenge to your life is nothing but a good thing.

You’ll live life more boldly and let go of the expectation of perfection.

When you’re at the starting line of your journey, it can be intimidating to make the first move toward reaching your goals. The fear of failing or doing something wrong can be enough to paralyze you. By challenging yourself to take action (no matter how big or small), you’ll cure your perfection paralysis and show yourself that taking risks and going for it isn’t so bad.

Instead, you’ll feel more energized, learn new skills, and teach yourself there’s nothing to lose when you’re working toward your goals.

You’ll be more confident and more likely to receive new opportunities.

Naturally, the more you challenge yourself to reach your goals, the more likely you are to reach them. By doing this over and over again, you’ll gain confidence in your ability to succeed. Beyond that, your actions will put you in a class of similar people — people who are willing to put in the work to make a change.

As you expand your circle of friends and contacts and put forth your confidence, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see how easily new opportunities come your way.

You’ll inspire those around you.

When you challenge yourself to do whatever it takes, you will attract a community of people who want to do what you’re doing. They’ll see your hard work and realize they can make a change, too.

Speaking of inspiration, this video of our 2019 U.S. IsaBody Challenge® Judging Period 4 Finalists gives me chills. See what it takes to join their rank.

So, are you up for a challenge?!
