What happens when you combine one scoop of whey protein with phytonutrients and sweet flavors and follow it up with a few sprays of melatonin? Isagenix Customers have enjoyed this concoction for years, so much so that we’ve made it an official bundle — the Bedtime Belly Buster Bundle!
It’s certainly a fun name, but you’re probably wondering what’s inside the bundle, how it works, and what science is behind the simple recipe. Take a closer look, and you’ll see why our Customers didn’t wait for us to put the Bedtime Belly Buster together ourselves before trying it.
What’s Inside the BBB?
The Bedtime Belly Buster Bundle combines three products: IsaPro®, Isagenix Greens™ or Isagenix Fruits, and Sleep Support & Renewal™ spray. The recipe gets you a serving of whey protein from IsaPro as well as phytonutrients and a sweet flavor from Fruits or Greens. Finish with a spray of melatonin (Sleep Support & Renewal spray goes in your mouth, not the shaker) to help support better sleep.†
The ideal time to prepare your Bedtime Belly Buster is around 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime. To make yours, combine 4 or 5 fluid ounces of water, one scoop of IsaPro, and one scoop of Fruits or Greens with an IsaBlender® or shaker cup. The mix foams rapidly, so shake the vessel vigorously before blending! Then blend all the ingredients for 30 to 60 seconds. If desired, add a few ice cubes and reblend.
How Does the BBB Work?
If you want all the details about why these products were chosen for the BBB, you should check out the “Bedtime Belly Buster for Dummies” e-book. Using the Bedtime Belly Buster before bed (try saying that three times fast!) helps by nourishing your body while you rest, replacing late night snacks, and supporting better sleep.† On top of the benefits, the BBB also tastes great!
What Does the Science Say?
OK, so it tastes great and keeps you away from potato chips at night, but how does it really work? Excellent question!
Adding more protein to your daily diet has more benefits than you may think:
- Weight loss: Protein is a powerful tool for those looking to lose weight, and how and when you incorporate protein into your diet could have a huge impact on the number you see on the scale. By incorporating some more protein to your diet (like 18 grams per scoop of IsaPro, found in the BBB), you may be able to improve your chances of pushing past a weight loss plateau.
- Muscle recovery: The longest time frame that we go without food is usually when we’re asleep at night. Studies show that ingesting protein before bed can help increase muscle protein synthesis (aka muscle recovery) while you sleep. Additional muscle, in turn, helps support an active metabolism. Of course, this means you need to actually work these muscles with exercise for the protein to do its thing. That’s why a healthy diet and regular exercise helps take the BBB to the next level.
Getting a great night’s sleep is its own reward, but there are all sorts of benefits associated with better sleep:
- Calorie reduction: Researchers found that, on average, people who are sleep deprived eat 385 more calories per day than those who get a full night’s rest. That means if poor sleep is your norm, those calories can catch up with you quickly.
- Weight loss: The relationship between sleep and weight loss is complicated, but some studies show that getting quality sleep on a regular basis is correlated with successful weight loss efforts.
The BBB Is Part of a Larger System
At this point, you may be thinking, “This is all great, but how does it actually BUST my BELLY?” That’s the million-dollar question, and the honest answer is this: The Bedtime Belly Buster alone will not help you lose weight. However, if you’re true to the Isagenix System and commit to a healthy diet and regular exercise, the Bedtime Belly Buster can be a powerful tool. It’s the perfect add-on to any pack or system to help kick-start weight loss efforts.
