September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month

Childhood obesity is now the No. 1 health concern among parents in the United States. One in three children in the United States is overweight or obese, nearly triple the rate in 1963. Childhood obesity puts kids at risk for health problems that were once seen only in adults, like Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. That’s a scary thought. But childhood obesity can be prevented.
