What’s the Difference Between Good and Bad Carbs?

bad carbohydratesContrary to popular belief, carbs are not actually the enemy when it comes to creating a healthy lifestyle.

But, what’s the difference between good carbs and bad carbs?

The answer may surprise you: it’s all about how quickly your body processes the carbohydrate. Some carbohydrates, typically refined and high in sugar (think: donut) are digested quickly and spike your blood sugar—not good—while others that are complex, due to fiber content and other nutritional factors (think: apple), take longer to be digested and keep your blood sugar more stable.

The Isagenix® Research and Science Team takes one minute (that’s right, 60 seconds!) to explain this in more detail and debunk the myth.

Take a peek at the first in their new series of “Minute Mythbusters” and share it to spread the word and educate everyone about the importance of consuming healthy carbohydrates.
