Tracy’s Tips for Social Media Success

Tracy is a 4-Star Golden Circle and 3-Star Crystal Executive, earning nearly $15,000** per month with her Isagenix business. One of her secrets to success is harnessing the power of social media, especially Facebook, to build her business. How does she do it? She’s authentic AND strategic.

Tracy O

I want people to immediately think of me when they think about who can help them. When they are sick and tired of being sick and tired they can pick up the phone and call me. And they will, because I am in their newsfeed every day.

Creating an Authentic Page

“I was scared out of my mind,” Tracy says, as she recalls preparing to share her story on Facebook for the first time. She explains, “when you’re vulnerable people sometimes make fun of you, they reject you and those were all bad triggers for me in my life before. But I knew if I could help one person by telling my story, my ‘why,’ then it would be worth it.”

While Tracy is always authentic and honest, she’s thoughtful about what she posts. “That first post…I didn’t say what exactly I was doing but I was talking about the fog I was in, the brokenness I had suffered.” She also mentioned that she’d found something that was helping her feel better. “That first post got 52 comments. So I just started talking to people.”

Her Facebook friends and followers have seen a dramatic change in Tracy’s life over the past 10 months. “I use Facebook constantly,” she says, “but I never really say ‘Isagenix.’ People know that I’m this Isagenix girl, but I never really come out and say it.” Instead, she says, “I’m more about living an authentic life that people will want to be a part of, rather than telling people what they should do. So, I just show myself living life, doing things with my kids.”

By just living her life and sharing it, without pitching a product, she can build personal relationships and trust with people. When they want what she’s got – time freedom and financial freedom – they reach out to her and she takes it offline. “It’s not necessarily that box of goodness in the President’s Pak that they want,” she says, “they just want whatever I’ve got going on. And once I make that personal connection with them, then they REALLY want that. So I coach them through a President’s Pak and we have this relationship and we become friends and business partners and it’s so much fun. It’s just so much fun.”

Posting Strategically

Tracy usually posts three to four times a day. She posts lifestyle pictures and statuses and power statements. Her “power statements” come before people go to work in the morning and in the evening when people are getting ready for another day of work. Those posts are especially for anyone who hates their job or is run down and tired. The goal of her power statements is to help her followers realize that there is another option out there.

Tracy knows what that’s like. Back when she was working in the corporate world, she recalls dreading Mondays. “I remember about 1 p.m. on Sundays every week I would have a panic attack, a full blown panic attack because of dreading the week ahead. So I really think long and hard about my Sunday night posts, to give people hope for something else bigger and better.” Her Isagenix success has changed her life and she wants to share that freedom.

Once she’s made a real connection online, she takes it offline immediately. “I teach my team to take it offline immediately and get on the phone. Let people hear the passion in your voice. Because once I talk to somebody, there’s no denying the transformation I’ve experienced with Isagenix. You can’t communicate that emotion by typing.”

Tracy also believes in staying positive online. She doesn’t share or promote negativity on her page.I believe that what you put out there is what you get back. So if you put out positive, that’s what is going to come back. And it’s proven to be true time and time again over the last 10 months.”
