Congratulations to JoJo and Vinnie B., Isagenix Millionaires No. 164!
JoJo and Vinnie know better than anyone that there’s no “hitting the jackpot” when it comes to building a business. This Las Vegas duo nearly split when JoJo went down a path that Vinnie wasn’t ready to accept.
The couple’s Isagenix journey started nine years ago when JoJo was looking for a little more oomph. “I was a blackjack dealer and I was running three tanning salons—I really didn’t have time to take care of myself physically,” JoJo says. “So when I learned about cleansing and shakes for meals, I thought it was a safe bet.”
JoJo had no interest in the Isagenix business opportunity. She simply wanted to feel and look better. “But after a few months, I couldn’t believe just how much I loved the products,” she remembers. “So, as they say in Vegas, I went all in.”
Though JoJo was excited about Isagenix, Vinnie was not yet on board. “I told her she was crazy,” he says. “I was totally skeptical. She was already running three pretty successful tanning salons and dealing blackjack for MGM, so how the heck was she going to fit this into our lives?”
Vinnie’s Past vs. JoJo’s Future
Vinnie’s concern was completely understandable. As a child, he grew up in poverty. “There were some nights where I went to bed without food,” he remembers. As an adult, he found stability in joining the military and building a career. “I was a United States Marine Intelligence Specialist with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. So I worked in union electrical trades for 15 years and was used to structure and stability,” Vinnie says.
Then there’s JoJo. “I’ve always been more of a free spirit,” JoJo excitedly says, “School wasn’t for me. After I graduated high school, I attended college for awhile and decided to walk away from it—it just wasn’t me. Office jobs weren’t for me either, so I quit a traditional job to deal cards and start my own tanning salons. I just do the things that make me happy.”
Despite their differences, the love this magnetic couple shares for one another helped them weather the biggest storm of their lives.
JoJo’s belief in Isagenix was growing faster with each passing week. “It just felt right to me; there’s no other way to explain it,” she recalls. “So I took a leap of faith, sold my salons, and bet big with Isagenix.”
It wasn’t smooth sailing for JoJo. “I made a whopping $3,900 my first seven months** and was starting to worry that Vinnie was right. But, I kept going,” she says. Meanwhile, Vinnie struggled watching JoJo succeed in a business that he had no desire to pursue.
“She was doing a lot of personal development and growing as a person. She was so happy with what she was doing, and I just wasn’t into it,” Vinnie remembers. “We were growing in different directions and even contemplated divorce, because I refused to be part of this,” he says, saddened.
“On top of everything, I actually quit Isagenix because I doubted my ‘ability’ to be successful with it,” JoJo says, “I was cycling ten times a week, and I threw it all away.”
Beating the Odds to Take The House
Two powerful moments changed everything for JoJo and Vinnie.
“After I quit, a member of my Isagenix support team called me and said, ‘you can’t quit,’” JoJo remembers. “He told me, ‘You need to believe in yourself, but until you do, use my belief in you and keep going. You’re on the right path.’”
That was a defining moment for JoJo. “Those simple words changed my life,” she remembers, “and I decided that it’s not about ‘ability;’ it’s about helping people and doing something that gives my life meaning and purpose.” So she picked up where she left off, and it was full steam ahead.
For Vinnie, he was inspired by one of the many Isagenix events. “She forced me to go to a David Wood event,” he says, “and it changed my life. David said that I don’t need to be part of this whole Isagenix thing with her, but as someone that loves her, I do need to support her. He was right. It was so powerful it basically saved our marriage.”
“I was secretly hoping she would fail at this simply because I was insecure,” Vinnie remembers, “and now we’re Isagenix Millionaires. She’s so strong. She had to overcome me in order to change both of our lives. I’m so grateful for her.”
Congratulations to JoJo and Vinnie, our 164th Isagenix Millionaires!
